Augusts 1st Black Magic Challenge

We are very excited to post Black Magics first fortnightly challenge.

To be in the running for the fabulous prize you will be required to produce a layout using

• August sketch no 1
• the technique of distressing
• predominantly black
• and a combinations of the colours featured in Augusts palette.

The Sketch no1:

This fortnights sketch was designed by one of your creative team Skye Johnson.

The Colour Palette:

You are required to feature a minimum of 1 of the palette colours. But you can use 1,2,3,4,or all 5 of them on your layout...that is all part of the MAGIC! You choose! A small amount of white is also permitted on your page.

I am Wendy and I am excited to be involved in this new and exciting sketch blog with a Mystical twist.

I am a mum of 2 boys, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a Nurse. I love scrapping and have been at it since 2004, and I cant seem to stop.

I draw inspiration from everyday life, scrappers blogs, forum galleries and of course my fellow scrap buddies.

I live in Newcastle with my husband and we have two boys, who are mainly the subject of my scrapping.

Introducing Dee Young

Hi all, my name is Dee and I have been scrapping for about 6 years all up, but only 18 months seriously. I'm a mum to a gorgeous 6 year old daughter, Beth and married to my wonderful hubby, Adam.

I'm so excited to be a part of this blog, and can't wait for all the challenges to begin to see the wonderful work submitted. The mystical girls are all like part of my extended family, and I thank the girls for choosing me to be a part of this wonderful new venture!

Ooh what to say that people might be interested in??!

Ok, here goes...

I am 24 and living in Melbourne. I moved here from country Victoria and I study journalism and fashion design. I started scrapping about 6 months ago in January 2008 and have loved it ever since! I have a love of bright colours and unique embellishments and love to distress! I distress EVERYTHING! Apart from scrapping, I am very interested in Polaroid photography and have 3 different Polaroid cameras, as well as a digital SLR, 2 film SLR's and a lomography camera! My little camera family is growing all the time!
I also love visiting my family in the country, going to the beach and travelling overseas!

Introducing Donna Espiritu

My name is Donna Espiritu and I hail from the little town of Cainta province of Rizal, Philippines. I'm 31 years old and been married for four years to a wonderful and very supportive husband. We don't have kids yet (but we're really praying very hard for a little one) so that's why my scrapbook subjects are always my family and friends. I love experimenting and learning new ways to incorporate on my scrapbook layouts, at the same time, I want others to see through my creations because it signifies me somehow. I believe I am a friendly and people can get along with me easily :D (that's what they say too hehehe)
Scrapbooking isn't just a hobby for me anymore, it helped me "meet" new people whom later on I became friends with. And I am just so happy and excited to be part of this community! Can't wait to create with all of you! :)

Introducing Emma Allen

Hi everyone, I'm Emma and I am so excited to be a part of the Black Magic Creative team. I am 27 years old and married to my DH Phil, we have 2 beautiful children DD Isabella (2) and DS Jordan (8 months).

I have been scrapping for about 4 years and am totally addicted to it. I love the Mystical Scrapbooks website and feel so honoured to share my work with you all and be creating for the Black Magic Blog.

New Creative Team

Thankyou to everyone who participated in our Creative Team challenge. It was such a hard decision due to the fantastic work that was submitted, that I was unable to narrow it down to just 3 people. As a result, we will have a team of SIX Creative Artists, that will inspire everyone with their sketches and LO's.
